Striker™ CX 320 Probe

Packed it for a week of backcountry touring and barely noticed it in my pack—the lighter build is the real deal. Sections lock together fast and solid, even with gloves on in a hurry. Feels like a proper piece of safety gear, not a compromise.

The carbon-aluminum mix keeps this noticeably lighter than my old all-metal probe, which I appreciate on long ascents. Deployment is smooth and the tension feels solid once locked, though the stuff sack is a bit tight for gloved hands.

The aluminum-carbon fiber hybrid makes it noticeably lighter on my pack, which I appreciate on long tours. It locks together firmly and feels solid when I push it into the snow, though I wish the markings were a touch easier to read in flat light.
